What is a Spend Cap?

At FTZ Telecoms, we offer guidance and support to help you manage your business expenses and implementing a “SPEND CAP” is just one of our recommendations to keep your costs under control.

Unpleasant bill spikes are a common occurrence for businesses, but by setting up a Spend Cap, you can limit the amount you spend each month on extras like calls, texts, and data usage beyond your regular allowance. This way, you’ll only pay for what you actually use.

It’s important to note that certain charges won’t count towards your Spend Cap, such as recurring elements of your bill (e.g. your Airtime Plan, Device Plan, and insurance), charges for buying optional Bolt-Ons, charity donations made from your phone, Charge to Mobile purchases (e.g. digital content and apps), charges related to managing your account (e.g. paper bills and late payment fees), and charges for third-party services (although our access fees for these services are included in your Spend Cap).

On the other hand, many charges will count towards your Spend Cap, such as additional calls, texts, and data usage beyond your regular allowance or Bolt-On usage, calling and texting non-geographical or premium rate numbers (with the exception of those associated with charities), calling international numbers from the UK, and calling directory enquiry services. By setting a Spend Cap, you can better manage these expenses and avoid unpleasant surprises on your monthly bill.

Prevent any unexpected surprises on your monthly statement

Spend Cap

It’s common for businesses to experience sudden increases in their bills, which can be inconvenient. By setting up a Spend Cap, you can limit your monthly spending on additional services. With FTZ Telecoms you will have your very own dedicated Account Manager, who will provide personalised support and guidance. They will be responsible for managing your account and ensuring that your needs are met. Some of the tasks that a dedicated account manager may perform include:

  • Providing advice and guidance on products and services
  • Assisting with account set-up and onboarding
  • Addressing any issues or concerns that clients may have
  • Regularly reviewing the client’s account to ensure that they are getting the best value for their money
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services that may benefit the client
  • Acting as a point of contact between the client and the company, ensuring that all communications are clear and timely
  • Providing regular reports and updates to the client on their account status and any relevant industry news or trends.

Like all International Road Haulage operators controlling the costs associated with our mobile phone bills is paramount. Particularly from the perspective of both call and data usage charges. “Dermot and the Team at FTZ Telecoms worked with us to find a solution that resulted in our costs dropping by over 50%. Whilst the financial saving was significant it was equally important that the FTZ team’s demonstrated the ability to listen to our unique circumstances and design a solution that fitted our Needs. We would highly recommend Dermot and the FTZ Telecoms team.”
